Overview: EFS
Central Filing of Agricultural Products
Central Filing's purpose is to allow a lender to give notice, by filing an effective financing statement, to potential buyers of farm products. Wyoming's Central Filing System is certified by the U.S. Department of Agriculture as meeting the requirements of Section 1324 of the Food Security Act of 1985 and regulations issued there under.
Wyoming's Central Filing System requires original signatures. Therefore, effective financing statement (EFS) filings must be submitted to the Business Division on paper.
